Christmas is a wonderful time to shop and especially kids enjoy this festive season with great enthusiasm and zest. They want to wear new dresses in this time of the year. All the parents want to make this shopping for their children more enjoyable and of course, more successful too. Children always want to get toys which they want, that means age appropriate toys is a primary concern for the kids. The parents may even give you a specific idea from the child’s own Christmas list, if you can give the child something which they really want, it is highly recommended to do so. Children also like to wear new dresses in the eve of new year as well as Christmas season too. So Parents should buy them few new dresses that they want. In case of toys there is also the problem that toys designed for children younger than the recipient may simply be boring for them. By the same token, a toy designed for older children may frustrate a very young child rather than delight them.

I personally believe that the easiest way to buy a toy is via internet. There are lot of sites dedicated to baby related products and some of them offer online shopping. On the internet you would find a product with its complete details along with the reviews and comments about that toy, written by people who have already purchased that particular product. This is really helpful as new customers get to have complete information about a product. Though there are salespersons,at many toy stores who can help you by recommending different products, but you always have to keep in mind that they are trying to sell a product so mostly you would get to hear positive things only. In my opinion it is not enough to go to the first toy store you find and pick out some toy, we should do some research beforehand to get the best product for our children.

Now a days shopping is not only a fun or time-pass. By cautiously planning your shopping list, using refills and durable items, buying locally and Eco friendly products, you can save money, get your kids active and help the environment at the same time.

Use your own reusable shopping bag to cut down the use of plastic bags that are harmful for the environment. To get your kids involved in Eco friendly shopping, you can ask them to be responsible for bringing the shopping bag.

Always try to purchase Eco-friendly goods, they are marked with Eco labels. You can teach your kids about the Eco labels meaning and while shopping ask them to search for products with these logos.

Save your local industry and save energy. Food transportation consumes a lot of fuel energy and causes pollution. Buying local food you can help to reduce energy consumption and pollution, also save money on your own transportation and enjoy fresher food.

Try to help the society by shopping fair trade items that guarantee no offensive child labor or forced labor, using ecologically sustainable methods and workers get a enough living wage.

Plan ahead your shopping list so that you will buy only what you need. Include your children while making the list. It will save your money, arguments with your kids at the grocery and you will help the environment by throwing less waste.

Instead of buying disposable products, which are wasteful, buy things that will last a long time, such as rechargeable batteries and reusable mugs for drinking, use washable plates, cups and silverware instead of paper and plastic products. It is cheaper in the long run.
